FAQ

Curious about Tequila?

How do you make Tequila?

There are somewhere around 200 types of agave known to exits, but only one is good enough to produce tequila: the blue weber agave. It’s the only content that has the right sugar and fiber content to produce the smooth, agave forward flavor that tequila is known for.

Where is Tequila made?

Tequila is one of the only major spirits to have a denomination of origin, similar to cognac, or champagne. This means it can only be made in Mexico and more specifically, only within select regions. Most tequila we enjoy comes from the state of Jalisco, from either el Valle (the valley) or Los Altos (The Highlands), each region has its own characteristics that ultimately affect the flavor of the Tequila. Tequila CAZADORES® comes from Los Altos de Jalisco.

What is Añejo tequila?

Añejo means aged. Añejo tequila is aged at least 1 year upwards.
